This is a huge flashing green light. Hyperscalers are putting money down NOW for orders THREE years out. It speaks strongly about the durability of the AI buildout. Morgan Stanley in Nvidia note: "We are seeing hyperscalers place 3 year orders on memory suppliers, in some cases with full prepayment - literally receiving 100% of 2028 revenue this quarter, with volumes at multiples of current levels. Are they doing that with the intent of slowing spending next year? That's just one of dozens of indications that spending will continue to increase for multiple years."

In 3 years from December 2019 to December 2022, Block $XYZ more than tripled its headcount from 3,900 to 12,500. Unwinding less than half an insane COVID overhiring binge has much more to do with Jack Dorsey's managerial incompetence than whether AI is going to take your job. x.com/JeremyKissel/s…

I've generally found Citrini's understanding of AI and its capabilities poor. .. one thing that has become apparent from all this is that a lot of investors and management are working off very simplistic models of how things work, and genuinely seem to think AI is magic."

Burry and Chanos repeatedly going after Nvidia for accounting and other issues just as the NVL72 product supercycle is beginning to ramp is wild. It’s like bearing up on Apple right when the iPhone 3G was first released. Not ideal. There were two clear signs that the NVL72 cycle twitter.com/firstadopter/statu...

The most important takeaway this week is what CoreWeave and Oracle said about AI inference demand: it’s off the charts.
