So for all intents and purposes digital art is being sustained by NFTs, as the older systems couldn’t value it, and NFTs found a mechanism to with a collector base that is solely interested in digital work

I’ve bristled at the terminology of “digital art” being described as something new or unique to onchain work before, but in this context it makes sense. I didn’t see a single booth outside of the NFT section that was digital. I’m not sure how that is possible.

the other (nonsense) complaint was about NFT energy costs. Now the same crowd champions poisoning techniques that take hours or days of GPU power to "protect" a piece of media (and don't really work) None of it is coherent
