I have a question, and I'm afraid I'm being too naive.
During the $20 billion liquidation on October 11th, did the long positions liquidate their positions to their counterparties, or did the liquidation result in Bank of North America (BN) profiting from the losses?
After all, money doesn't disappear; it just moves. If the liquidation resulted in losses for the long positions, why did liquidity suddenly plummet?
Wouldn't answering this question clarify who was at fault? No need for so much sycophancy or fudges.
