Late last year, we partnered with @ApeChainHUB @rarible & @rarichain to demonstrate what's possible when chains use a base layer offering fast finality.
We launched two complementary NFT collections (one on ApeChain, one on RARI Chain) and let users mint each using funds from the other chain in a single click.
Because both chains use Espresso as a base layer for fast finality & DA, their transactions finalize within seconds. This enables contracts on ApeChain to respond to state changes on RARI Chain almost immediately (and vice versa) making real-time crosschain interactions possible without manual bridging or long wait times.
More than 30k NFTs were minted, with more than half paying with funds they held on the other chain.
Rarible integrated Presto, our solution for one-click crosschain NFT minting built on Espresso's fast BFT confirmations, into its NFT platform to enable the seamless crosschain experience. While this demo focused on NFTs, Presto can be forked for any crosschain payment use case that benefits from fast finality.
This bridgeless crosschain mint wasn't just a technical demonstration. It showed how blockchain infrastructure can fade into the background, allowing users to interact with apps across chains without friction, and without chains sacrificing security. No manual bridging, no waiting, no complexity.
