During his tenure, Blanche disbanded the National Cryptocurrency Investigation Team (NCET) and ordered restraint in prosecutions regarding regulatory violations. At the time, he faced controversy over conflicts of interest and violations of ethics regulations due to his ownership of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, worth up to $470,000.
