Popular Telegram-based crypto game Hamster Kombat has announced that its player base has exceeded 150 million users, surpassing the population of Russia.
This increase represents a 50% increase over the previous week when the game celebrated reaching 100 million users.
To put it in perspective, almost one in five Telegram users have signed up for the game, which offers real crypto rewards as players try to build a virtual crypto exchange for hamsters.
Rewards in Hamster Kombat come in the form of a Token Airdrop scheduled for July.
Players who accumulate points in the game will be eligible to receive this Airdrop .
The game works as a mini app within Telegram, eliminating the need for additional downloads.
The Hamster Kombat announcement channel on Telegram has become the most popular channel on the app with more than 35 million subscribers.

Hamster Kombat has attracted significant interest not only on Telegram but also on other platforms.
The game's YouTube channel currently has an impressive 23 million subscribers, while its Twitter account has 7.7 million Watcher.
Both accounts have seen significant growth in Watcher numbers over the past week.

Hamster Kombat's success can largely be attributed to its spiritual predecessor, Notcoin , another cryptocurrency-powered Telegram game.
Notcoin has gained a loyal Watcher through its Token Airdrop program to players, which has generated significant excitement.

According to Delphi Digital, a prominent company, TON's daily active addresses have surpassed Ethereum, which owes this achievement to Telegram's massive user base of 900 million.
Last week, Telegram launched a new digital payments feature called “Telegram Stars,” which allows users to make in-app purchases.
'Stars' is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
