The U.S. Treasury Department says CBDC should replace stablecoins
According to a report from Decrypt, the U.S. Treasury Department expressed concerns about the growth of the stablecoin market in a report released on Wednesday, and believes that stablecoins issued by the private sector should ultimately be replaced by central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) supported by the government.
