It’s the 70th edition of the Gems Corner, and today, we’ll be looking at the resurgence of the DeSci narrative, and other alphas as usual.
This week, the Decentralized Science (DeSci) narrative resurfaced with a bang and green candles. Firstly, if you don't know about DeSci, you can read my previous issue, which I explained in detail here.
With that out of the way, let's get in!
Earlier this Binance Labs hosted a small group of founders in their BUIDLer House in Bangkok. CZ, the former Co-Founder of Binance, and Vitalik Buterin, the Co-Founder of Ethereum, headlined the event.
The primary theme of the event was accelerating DeSci and Crypto AI, which triggered interest in the DeSci narrative. Immediately after the event, DeSci-related tokens picked up aggressively with intense pumps. Not only that, but DeSci took over X(Twitter), contending with DeFi in mindshare.
Two of the biggest beneficiaries from DeSci's resurgence are Rifampicin (RIF) and Urolithin (URO), two experimental projects of pump(dot)science. Pump(dot)science is the first DeSci platform on Solana, funded by the Solana Foundation to accelerate longevity research.
Within a few days, $RIF and $URO morphed to $200M and $150M in market capitalization, generating around $1.1 billion in trading volume. Congratulations to those who bought and traded. This reinforces the importance of fundamental analysis in Crypto, especially in a bull market.
Although the interest may have reduced as of today, I think DeSci plays are good for long-term holdings. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
A Week of All-Time-Highs
This week will surely go down in history as Bitcoin and Solana, two bluechip tokens, smashed new all-time highs (ATHs).
Bitcoin hit $99,486 for the first time, while Solana also reached $262 for the first time. The bull market is in full swing. At this pace, one can only guess what the coming will bring in Crypto.
