Interactive Brokers founder recommends investing 2% to 3% of net worth in Bitcoin

Odaily reports that Thomas Peterffy, the billionaire founder of the retail brokerage firm Interactive Brokers Group Inc., believes that investors should hold some Bitcoin, but given the volatility of the asset, they should limit their holdings. In an interview with Bloomberg TV on Wednesday, he said: "I recommend that people put 2% to 3% of their net worth into Bitcoin, for example, we would not allow anyone to put more than 10% of their assets into Bitcoin because I think that's very dangerous." According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Peterffy's net worth is around $53 billion, and he said that due to the price volatility of cryptocurrencies, he is "a little bit scared." He further added: "Cryptocurrencies have no intrinsic value. Their only value is the same as the paper US dollar, which is 'nothing'."
