Trump: "Hines will provide the industry with the resources it needs to grow"
President-elect Trump announced through his SNS platform 'Truth Social' on the 23rd that he has appointed Bo Hines as the executive director of the Cryptocurrency Committee led by 'Cryptocurrency Czar' David Sachs.
Earlier, President-elect Trump had announced the Cryptocurrency Committee and the White House Cryptocurrency and AI Czar as new agencies and positions in the next administration. Earlier this month, President-elect Trump appointed former PayPal COO David Sachs as the White House Cryptocurrency and AI Czar.
President-elect Trump said, "I have appointed Bo Hines as the executive director to lead the key administration of the newly established Cryptocurrency Committee led by David Sachs," and "Bo Hines will provide the industry leaders with the resources needed to drive the growth and innovation of the cryptocurrency market."
Bo Hines is a 29-year-old young person with a college football (American football) career, and he is virtually a political novice.
Bo Hines ran as a Republican candidate in the 2022 U.S. House of Representatives election in North Carolina, but was defeated. It was revealed that some of the campaign funds he received for the 2022 House of Representatives election campaign were supported by former FTX executive Ryan Salame.
Meanwhile, Trump also appointed Sriram Krishnan, a former general partner of cryptocurrency venture capital a16z, as a policy advisor to the newly established AI Committee.
