Former Binance US CEO Brian Brooks has joined the board of MicroStrategy.
According to CoinTelegraph on the 22nd (local time), MicroStrategy, which holds the most BTC of any single company in the world, has added former CEO Brian Brooks, Jane Dietze, Chief Investment Officer of Brown University, and Greg Winiarski, Chief Legal Officer of Fanatics Holdings, to its board of directors. This brings the total number of MicroStrategy board members to 9.

Former CEO Brooks served as Coinbase's CLO from September 2018 to March 2020, and as Acting Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) from April 2020 to January 2021. He has recently been mentioned as a candidate for the next chair of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), drawing attention from the virtual asset industry.
Dietze, the CIO of Brown University, is also a board member of the digital asset company Galaxy Digital. Winiarski was the Senior Advisor at Fanatics from August 2021 to February 2023. Each board member will receive a stock package worth $2 million (about 29 billion won), half in the form of options and half in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs), to be paid out over 4 years.
Meanwhile, MicroStrategy purchased an additional $150 million (about 2.1787 trillion won) worth of BTC this month, bringing its total BTC holdings to 439,000 BTC. MicroStrategy is scheduled to be included in the Nasdaq 100 index on the 23rd (local time).
