The VitaDAO community plans to airdrop up to 6.9 million BIO to VITA and VitaDAO IPT holders

Odaily reports that the VitaDAO community has initiated a new proposal to distribute up to 6.9 million BIO tokens (from VitaDAO's total allocation of 21 million) to the VitaDAO community through an airdrop mechanism. The distribution will be based on multiple snapshots, targeting VITA token holders (80%) and VITA-IPT holders (20%), to ensure genuine long-term community engagement. The airdrop will use a tiered system to ensure fair distribution across different holder categories. The claim period will last for 2 months (January 2025 - March 2025). This airdrop will strengthen community connections, enhance governance participation, and create alignment, while retaining a substantial fiscal reserve (14.1 million BIO) for funding science.
