On January 15, Eric Trump, the son of President-elect Donald Trump, shared in an interview his vision of making the United States the global leader in Cryptoassets. He emphasized that this plan will be implemented through close cooperation between him and his father, Donald Trump, to build a more friendly environment for the Cryptoasset industry.
In the interview, Eric Trump strongly criticized the Biden administration's handling of the Cryptoasset sector, particularly the policies from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under the leadership of Gary Gensler. Eric accused the current administration of not only lacking understanding of Cryptoassets but also damaging the industry's development by applying harsh regulatory measures.
"The Cryptoasset community in the US is being attacked on all fronts by Gary Gensler and many others," Eric emphasized.
"The Biden administration is completely absent in this field. Kamala Harris is also nowhere to be seen. They don't even understand what Cryptoassets are. To be frank, they have declared war on this industry. And then, my father appears to change everything."
Eric also mentioned that Donald Trump has shown strong support for Cryptoassets, and he believes that his father's appearance at a recent Bitcoin conference was a significant turning point for the industry. According to Eric, Trump's direct participation in major Cryptoasset events has sent a strong message, affirming that the United States under Trump will welcome Blockchain technology and Cryptoassets with a positive attitude.
"My father understands the importance of Cryptoassets in shaping the future of global finance. He is committed to building a more favorable environment for the industry to thrive strongly in the US," Eric shared further.
In addition to praising his father, Eric also expressed an optimistic view on Bitcoin and other Cryptoassets. He stated that he is very confident in the potential of this industry and affirmed that he will always support its development.
"I am very optimistic about Bitcoin and many other Cryptoassets. This is the future of global finance," Eric affirmed.
Although he refused to make specific predictions about the future price of Bitcoin, Eric revealed that his investment portfolio includes top Cryptoassets such as BTC, ETH, SOL, and SUI.
