PANews reported on February 12 that, according to SolanaFloor, SIMD-96 has been launched on Solana. It has changed the priority fee mechanism from a 50-50 split (50% burned, 50% allocated to validators) to a new model where 100% of the fees are directly allocated to validators.
Previously, in May last year, the Solana ecosystem's SIMD-0096 proposal was approved, and its implementation on the Solana mainnet is expected to take several months.
