Google's new smart assistant is expected to be deeply integrated into the app ecosystem, processing data directly on the Pixel 10 device
Google is rapidly developing Pixel Sense - a new generation AI assistant designed specifically for the Pixel 10 smartphone line, which is expected to be launched in late August. According to information from Android Authority, this intelligent assistant will bring superior personalization capabilities by leveraging data from apps like Calendar, Docs, and Photos to generate context-appropriate responses for users.

The emergence of Pixel Sense is taking place against the backdrop of an intense race in the development of AI assistants. Amazon has just launched Alexa Plus integrating generative AI technology, while Apple is also working to improve Siri despite some challenges. Ramon Llamas, Research Director at IDC, commented: "The advancements in AI over the past 18 months have primarily focused on helping devices operate more efficiently and faster."
The standout feature of Pixel Sense is its ability to process a diverse range of data - from text, images to AI-generated content - directly on the device. This approach not only increases response speed but also enhances user data security. With its existing app and service ecosystem, Google has a significant advantage in providing a comprehensive integrated AI experience.
"Pixel Sense is not just a smart assistant, but a true personal assistant - tracking activities, organizing information, and providing relevant data for users to act on immediately," Llamas analyzed.
This is not Google's first effort to upgrade its virtual assistant. Previously, the company had developed the unreleased At a Glance lock screen tool and planned to launch the AI assistant Pixie alongside Pixel 9, which is considered the predecessor to Pixel Sense.
Alongside Pixel Sense, Google is also expanding its AI tool portfolio in the product ecosystem, including updating Pixel Studio with AI image creation features, adding live video calling and screen sharing to Gemini Live, and developing an AI-powered fraud call detection tool.
According to Llamas, the trend in AI assistant development will be towards maximum personalization, providing a seamless experience with the least user interaction. Although Google has not made an official statement, the arrival of Pixel Sense is expected to further heat up the technology race among tech giants and promises to significantly change the way users interact with mobile devices.
