According to Odaily, Paul Atkins, nominated for SEC Chairman, will attend a confirmation hearing at the Senate Banking Committee on March 27, with a final vote by the full Senate if approved.
Atkins, a former SEC commissioner and digital asset supporter who previously founded a financial compliance consulting firm in Washington, is expected to continue the crypto-friendly regulatory stance of the Trump administration, replacing former SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, who was criticized for his "enforcement-style regulation" of the crypto industry.
