According to Bloomberg, the stablecoin issuer Tether will spend approximately 10 million euros to acquire a 30% stake in the Italian media company Be Water.Be Water's portfolio includes podcast production companies Chora Media, Will Media, and film and television production and distribution company Be Water Film.
This transaction is part of Tether's recent investment boom, which has previously involved sectors such as agriculture, AI, and brain-computer interfaces. Currently, Tether's USDT has a market capitalization of around $144 billion, primarily backed by highly liquid assets such as U.S. Treasury bonds.
