
PANews reported on March 27 that according to the Korean Cultural Daily, the Korean government's public official ethics committee disclosed the property changes for 2025, with Seoul City Council member Kim Hye-young topping the list of high-ranking officials with cryptocurrency holdings of 1.7 billion Korean won (approximately $1.27 million). She declared ownership of 16 types of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, and her spouse and eldest son also hold ETH, Doge, and XRP. Out of 2,047 public officials, 411 (about 20.1%) declared cryptocurrency holdings, with a total amount of 14.4 billion Korean won, averaging 35.07 million Korean won per person.
