PANews reported on March 28 that according to the SEC's official announcement, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially terminated civil enforcement lawsuits against Kraken (Payward, Inc. and Payward Ventures, Inc.), ConsenSys Software Inc., and Cumberland DRW LLC, withdrawing the cases "with prejudice". The SEC stated that this withdrawal aims to promote reform and update of its cryptocurrency industry regulatory strategy, rather than being based on an assessment of the case allegations. The SEC emphasized that this decision does not affect its stance on other cases.
