According to ChainCatcher, the Babylon Foundation announced on social media that they are about to launch Phase-2: Babylon Genesis mainnet, becoming the first Bitcoin Security Network (BSN), which directly obtains cryptoeconomic security from Bitcoin through the Babylon Bitcoin staking protocol.

Babylon Genesis is an independent L1 network with advanced security features that will also serve as the control plane and liquidity center for other BSNs, enabling them to combine with Bitcoin's security and liquidity.
