PANews reported on April 2nd that according to Decrypt, Republican candidates Jimmy Patronis and Randy Fine won in a special congressional election in Florida on Tuesday night, with strong support from a cryptocurrency industry super PAC, allowing the Republican Party to maintain its slim majority in the House.
Fine defeated Democrat Josh Weil in Florida's sixth district with 56.7% of the votes, while Patronis won against Gay Valimont in Florida's first district with 57% of the votes. Both campaigns received strong support from "Defend American Jobs", a Republican-focused cryptocurrency political action committee affiliated with the broader Fairshake political funding network.
