PANews reported on April 2nd that Forbes released its 39th Global Billionaires List, with the number of global billionaires exceeding 3,000 for the first time, reaching 3,028 people, with a total wealth of $16.1 trillion, an increase of $2 trillion from last year. The list shows that 15 billionaires have a net worth of over $100 billion, with Elon Musk reclaiming the title of world's richest person with $342 billion, followed by Mark Zuckerberg ($216 billion) and Jeff Bezos ($215 billion).
Additionally, 16 cryptocurrency billionaires made the list, with a total wealth of over $164 billion, averaging $6.8 billion per person. Among them, CZ, founder of Binance, became the world's wealthiest crypto billionaire with $63 billion. Tether's CFO Giancarlo Devasini ranked second with $22.4 billion, and other Tether-related individuals like JL van der Velde, Paolo Ardoino, and Stuart Hoegner also made the list.
Cryptocurrency exchange founders occupy important positions, including Coinbase co-founders Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam, Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and TRON founder Justin Sun. Other listees include Ripple's Chris Larsen, Stellar's Jed McCaleb, investor Tim Draper, and Microstrategy founder Michael Saylor. Saylor's company holds 528,185 bitcoins, and he personally holds 17,732 bitcoins, which significantly boosted his wealth ranking.
