According to ChainCatcher, Bitcoin developer Ruben Somsen announced on X platform that the BitcoinDev mailing list was "permanently removed" by Google. Ruben previously stated: "To the best of my knowledge, no inappropriate content was published."

He questioned Google's decision, arguing that open-source development should not be considered "unwelcome content" and suggested that migration to another platform might be necessary. Block CEO Jack Dorsey has retweeted support for Ruben Somsen's tweet and raised questions to Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
