ChainCatcher reports, according to the update log released by OpenAI, GPT-4 will be retired from ChatGPT starting from April 30, 2025, and will be completely replaced by GPT-4o.
GPT-4o is OpenAI's newest native multimodal model, which consistently outperforms GPT-4 in writing, coding, STEM, and other areas in head-to-head evaluations. Recent upgrades have further improved GPT-4o's instruction following, problem-solving, and conversational flow capabilities. GPT-4 will remain available in the API.
