PANews reported on April 15th that according to Decrypt, the Swedish political community's attention to Bitcoin continues to heat up. Following Rickard Nordin's call last week for the government to reassess its Bitcoin reserve strategy, another Swedish Democratic Party member, Dennis Dioukarev, has now spoken on this issue.
On Monday, Dioukarev submitted a formal inquiry to Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson, suggesting that Sweden follow the example of countries like the United States and establish a national Bitcoin reserve through methods such as asset seizure. "This trend has emerged in multiple countries," he specifically mentioned the case of the U.S. government using seized funds to build a Bitcoin reserve, and asked whether "the Ministry of Finance has considered such a plan".
