PANews reported on April 19 that Du Jun, co-founder of ABCDE, responded to a tweet about ABCDE's situation, stating: "ABCDE has officially stopped investing in new projects and suspended the fundraising plan for its second fund. The original team will continue to provide post-investment support and exit arrangements for existing projects, ensuring that commitments to entrepreneurs and LPs are carefully fulfilled. The personal focus will gradually shift from first-market financial investment to strategic investment primarily combined with in-depth incubation, focusing more on industrial synergy and long-term value creation." In addition, Du Jun added, "The new incubator brand Vernal will announce its incubator shareholders, incubation rules, and the first batch of incubated projects in May. May will also see the release of the first purchase list, explaining exactly how much was bought and why."
"Over the past three years, ABCDE's first fund has invested nearly $40 million, supporting over 30 projects, leading more than half of them. Under the current market environment, the IRR return remains at a global leading level. Beyond capital support, ABCDE has also been deeply involved in the open-source ecosystem, accumulating hundreds of Stars on GitHub and bringing substantial contributions to the community."
