- Currently, he is a Software Engineer at Hyperlane.
Trevor Porter – Senior Software Engineer
- In 2019, Trevor worked as a Senior Software Engineer at cLabs, developing the Celo Layer 1 Blockchain.
- Currently, he is Co-founder of Nodito Labs and Senior Software Engineer at Hyperlane.
Development Roadmap
Hyperlane V2 – Modular & Permissionless
Launched on 16/01/2023, V2 marks a major turning point by introducing a fully modular architecture where ISMs can be combined like Lego:
- Dynamic Security: Customizing security for each message content – for example, a message related to liquidation will need a stricter protection layer.
- Permissionless Deployment: Anyone can deploy Hyperlane on any EVM chain without approval.
- Improved API: REST and GraphQL make it easy for developers to integrate the system.
Hyperlane V3 – Hooks & Unified API
Announced on 28/10/2023, V3 focuses on expanding customization, especially with:
- Hyperlane Hooks: Pre/post processing layer allowing selection of transmission routes, routing fees, and security configuration for different data types.
- Single-Call API: Simplifying the process of sending messages, routing, and payment – all in a single call.
- Permissionless Chains Support: No need to write custom code for each chain – relay is automatically performed after integration.
- New Mailbox Architecture: Allows specifying security and transport layers for each chain or message type.
The Open Intents Framework
On 19/02/2025, Hyperlane announced The Open Intents Framework – an open initiative to standardize cross-chain "intents" mechanisms, making asset transfer more intuitive and seamless.
The system provides:
- Combinable smart contracts.
- User-friendly UI templates.
- Open-source solvers.
- Support for ERC-7683 standard.
Compatible payment mechanisms include rrc-7755, native interop from Optimism Superchain, or aggregator oracle from HashiAlliance,...
This framework not only standardizes but also opens doors for dozens of teams to integrate creative solutions, optimizing capital efficiency through intelligent solvers.
HyperFlow
On 18/03/2025, Khalani Network launched HyperFlow – the first collaborative solver network, operating on the Hyperlane platform. HyperFlow leverages the Pub/Sub architecture to help solvers:
- Instantly collect new intents.
- Transfer data between chains.
- Send proof of execution after processing intent.
Leveraging Hyperlane's open and permissionless characteristics, HyperFlow easily integrates ISM security without rewriting the entire system – creating a foundation for more complex trading strategies in the future.

Conclusion
Hyperlane is more than just a messaging tool – it is an ecosystem for organized, secure, and unlimited data and asset transmission.
With high compatibility, open source, flexible security, along with an experienced team and renowned investors, Hyperlane is setting new standards for cross-chain connectivity.
In the context of Layer 2, Layer 3, and Appchain explosion, Hyperlane is the backbone of the Omnichain era – where every blockchain can merge into a unified, powerful, and barrier-free data flow.
