Here’s how to stay ahead 

Step 1: Build a decoy wallet
Get a spare Ledger, load it with $2k–$5k, and fake some activity: small transactions, a cheap NFT, maybe a meme coin
If they find it, they’ll think they hit the jackpot
Your real treasury stays out of reach 

Step 2: Use a multi-signature wallet for your main funds
Require 2-of-3 keys to move anything, one on a hardware device, one with a trusted lawyer, one in a vault
Even if they get your Ledger, they can’t touch your $BTC without all three 

Step 3: Split your real seed phrase
Generate it on an air-gapped device, engrave it on steel, and divide it into three parts
Store them in separate locations, say, a Swiss bank vault, a family safe in Dubai, and a hidden spot only you know 

Step 4: Watch for social engineering
Thieves don’t always break in, they might pose as delivery guys, cops, or even friends
Train yourself to spot fakes
Never keep your Ledger where it can be seen, and don’t talk about your holdings EVER 

Step 5: Add physical defenses
Install 4K cams with cloud backup in your home
Use a safe with a time-delay lock for your decoy Ledger
If someone’s in, they’ll grab the bait and run, meanwhile, you’ve got footage to track them down 

Step 6: If they confront you, comply, but with the decoy
Hand over the fake wallet with $5k
It looks real, they leave, and you’re alive
Your multi-sig setup means they can’t touch your real funds anyway.
Survival trumps everything 

Step 7: Stay invisible
Don’t flex your $BTC on social media
Don’t use your real name on exchanges
Use a VPN, encrypt your devices, and assume someone’s always watching
The less they know about you, the safer you are
