
PANews reported on April 24 that according to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center's (IC3) '2024 Report', in 2024, Americans aged 60 and above submitted 33,369 complaints related to crypto-related fraud, with total losses reaching $2.84 billion, accounting for over 30% of the year's total crypto fraud losses of $9.3 billion. Overall, IC3 received 149,686 complaints related to cryptocurrency, a 66% year-on-year increase. Investment fraud and crypto ATM fraud were the primary methods, with losses of $5.8 billion and $247 million, respectively.
