PANews reported on April 27 that according to Cointelegraph, Hester Peirce, SEC Commissioner and head of the Crypto Assets Working Group, stated at the SEC's "Know Your Custodian" roundtable that the current U.S. crypto asset regulatory environment is like playing "the floor is lava" in the dark, with registered institutions being forced to act cautiously under unclear rules and avoid direct contact with crypto assets. She pointed out that clear compliance channels should be established as soon as possible to provide clear guidance for crypto asset custody and trading, in order to promote healthy market development.
