On April 30, according to Bloomberg, El Salvador's Minister of Economy Maria Luisa Hayem stated at the Rio de Janeiro Web Summit that despite signing a loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) requiring a halt to Bit accumulation, El Salvador will continue to purchase Bit. Hayem confirmed in a live interview: "President Bukele has promised to continue accumulating assets."
According to official information from The Bitcoin Office of El Salvador, the country has added 8 Bits to its national Bit strategic reserves in the past 7 days, with Bit reserves reaching 6,162.18 Bits.
