World Network Project Launches "Build Latam" in Latin America
On April 30, the biometric identification cryptocurrency project World Network announced the "Build Latam" plan in the Latin American region. This program will allocate 1 million WLD Tokens, equivalent to approximately 4.8 million USD, to 15 regional projects to promote the iris biometric identification and digital identity system.
World Network initiated this project in Argentina, where over 2.2 million people have completed verification through the Orb device, making it one of the regions with the highest participation rates in the world.
Martin Mazza, Worldcoin's regional director in Latin America, revealed that since last October, the project has used "multi-party anonymous computation" (AMPC) technology to enhance data security. Users' biometric data is stored as small codes in databases managed by various universities.
Mazza emphasized that user verification rewards are only issued in WLD Tokens. These Token holders will have the right to participate in network governance.
