According to ChainCatcher and The Block, the UK Treasury released a statement saying it plans to collaborate with the United States to promote innovation in the crypto industry. Finance Minister Rachel Reeves stated that the UK will establish new regulations for crypto asset service providers such as Bitcoin and Ethereum through a "transformation plan" to enhance investor confidence and drive growth.
During a recent meeting in Washington with US Treasury official Scott Bessent, Rachel Reeves discussed digital asset regulatory cooperation, including proposals raised by SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce. The financial departments of both countries will continue to explore pathways for supporting responsible digital asset development through the "UK-US Financial Regulatory Working Group".
