According to Foresight News, blockchain ticketing platform KYD Labs has announced the completion of a $7 million seed round funding, led by a16z crypto. The platform also plans to launch two new protocol layers: KYD token for funding venues and tours, and TIX reward token to incentivize fan loyalty, similar to airline miles.
KYD Labs was founded by Ahmed Nimale, a former Ticketmaster product manager, and David Barrick, founder of ad tech platform Flipmass. Built on Solana, it allows fans to quickly purchase tickets and plans to expand to over 100 venues in the United States by 2026.
