PANews reported on May 19th that according to a research post published by Vitalik Buterin, he proposed adding an adjustment "favoring local nodes" to Ethereum's scaling roadmap to mitigate the impact of raising the Gas limit on personal full node operations. Vitalik pointed out that the important value of personal nodes is not only in on-chain verification but also includes privacy and censorship resistance needs for local RPC data reading. His suggestions include: accelerating the comprehensive implementation of EIP-4444, building decentralized historical data storage, adjusting the Gas mechanism to increase the cost of new state storage, and proposing a new "partial stateless node" model that allows users to save critical states on-demand, balancing storage efficiency and local privacy.
