According to ChainCatcher and Jin Shi data, Federal Reserve Cleveland Fed President Harker and San Francisco Fed President Daly stated on Tuesday evening local time that, given the uncertainty of Trump administration policies, the best course of action for the Federal Reserve now is to wait before making any further policy decisions.
The two regional Fed presidents reiterated during a joint appearance at the Atlanta Fed Bank conference that due to the ongoing uncertainty in trade policies, it is difficult to determine the economic direction and, consequently, challenging to know how monetary policy should respond.
