PANews reported on May 23rd that according to Protos, the cross-chain DeFi project Chainge has allegedly trapped user funds for months, failing to deliver on promised solutions. The project, led by Multichain founder Zhao Jun (DJ Qian), combines cross-chain bridge and decentralized exchange functions. User complaints indicate that from late 2024 to early 2025, many users reported transaction congestion and inability to process transactions, with wKAS (wrapped Kaspa) cross-chain issues being the most severe. The team blamed "malicious actors abusing services and causing liquidity shortages", but wKAS has significantly depegged, and its partnership with "kas.fyi" has been terminated.
The project team stated on March 24th that they would "100% solve" the issues, but as of May 22nd, they have not fulfilled this promise. The front-end page remains open for cross-chain functions, posing a continued risk of fund absorption. Protos has contacted the Chainge team for comment but has received no response.
