
Korea University College of Information announced on the 25th that it held the '2025 Artificial Intelligence (AI)·Blockchain Startup Idea Competition' on the 16th at the Hana Square Auditorium in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
The event was hosted by Korea University College of Information. It was co-organized by Korea University SW Centered University Project Group, Hanshin University SW Centered University Project Group, Korea University Blockchain Research Institute, and TokenPost. Approximately 600 people, including college students, young entrepreneurs, and investors, attended.
Through preliminary written screening divided into AI and Blockchain categories, 20 teams advanced to the final round in each category. In the final round, award-winning teams were selected through presentation evaluations, including Grand Prize, Excellence Prize, Outstanding Prize, Special Prize, and Encouragement Prize. Korea University Blockchain Research Institute and TokenPost plan to regularize this event and provide follow-up support such as acceleration, investment linkage, and media promotion for the winning teams.
In the AI category, the Grand Prize was awarded to 'AbleLab' for the Thames AI Archive Project and 'Bokjihanbeonjabwa' for the Safe-Link disability welfare information recommendation system. In the Blockchain category, the Grand Prize winners were 'Pond Makers' for developing a global funding-based digital collectible market platform and 'Art Sync' for proposing an AI-based system that optimizes energy flow.
In-ho, Director of Korea University Blockchain Research Institute, said, "In the future, it will be an era where one can only be competitive by not just understanding AI technology, but actively handling and utilizing it." He added, "As entrepreneurship based on technology that creates jobs becomes increasingly common, I hope this competition becomes a starting point for such a trend."
