Decentralized social network Mask Network completes strategic acquisition of Lens chain native social application Orb.club

Mars Finance reports that Mask Network has announced a strategic acquisition of Orb.club, a native social application on the chain. The application has over 50,000 monthly active users and features unique functions such as viral stickers, collectible dynamics, and native tipping mechanisms, ranking among the top Web3 native social platforms. This acquisition will integrate Orb.club into the social ecosystem matrix governed by MaskDAO, marking a key step for Mask in building a user-autonomous internet ecosystem. After joining the ecosystem, Orb will form synergies with Next.ID (decentralized identity), Web3.bio (on-chain profile search), Firefly.social (Web3 all-purpose application), and other platforms to construct a social graph. Mask founder Suji Yan stated, "Orb brings back the soul of social media. We look forward to enabling its exponential growth through infrastructure." Since its launch in 2024, Orb has built an on-chain content economy and tokenized community that creates an instant monetization and self-governance loop for creators.
