Specifically, these two companies had a recent negative interaction when Binance seemingly intentionally exacerbated the JELLYJELLY short squeeze crisis at Hyperliquid.
This alleged action increased the financial damage the platform was experiencing at that time.
Of course, the crypto community can be a very loose gathering with many different opinions on any topic. Some users have accused both Binance and Hyperliquid of intentionally trying to undermine each other, but there seems to be no evidence for this.
