According to ChainCatcher, citing Reuters, the world's two largest cryptocurrency companies are about to obtain licenses to operate across the European Union, with regulatory authorities increasingly diverging in the approval speed and strictness in some countries.
Under the EU's new Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, member states can issue licenses allowing crypto companies to operate across the 27 EU member states. Gemini is about to obtain a license in Malta, and Coinbase is also about to receive approval in Luxembourg.
