According to Foresight News, the LayerZero Foundation announced that it will launch Protocol Fee Conversion Governance Vote #2 on June 20th, where ZRO holders will vote: "Yes" to activate the LayerZero protocol fee;
"No" means the protocol fee remains inactive. If activated, each LayerZero message will be subject to a protocol fee. The collected protocol fees will be used to buy and burn ZRO.
LayerZero stated that due to the overwhelming majority of votes in favor during the first vote, the quorum has been reduced. Only circulating ZRO token holders (109 million tokens) are eligible to vote, with a quorum of 50.40%. Beyond this number, the majority vote will prevail. Voting will be conducted using the entire ZRO balance from one chain. The voting will end on June 27, 2025. The next governance vote will be held six months later.
