Many people believed he did not actually exist, as he had never given an interview or made a public statement, with his name only appearing in a few US court documents, including the Securities and Exchange Commission's lawsuit against Ripple Labs.
However, Ripple's other co-founder David Schwartz has confirmed that Arthur Britto's X account is indeed his own and not the result of a hack or leak. His previous low profile was due to his introverted personality and strong desire for privacy, as he did not wish to become a public figure for personal reasons.
