According to the SEC memorandum, Foresight News reports that the New York Stock Exchange delegation met with the Crypto Asset Regulatory Working Group on June 24 to discuss crypto asset regulatory issues. The NYSE representatives attending the meeting included General Counsel Jaime Klima, Chief Product Officer Jon Herrick, Deputy General Counsel Patrick Troy, and Chief Regulatory Officer Tony Frouge.
The meeting agenda primarily focused on three aspects: promoting a fair competitive environment, emphasizing equality among market participants and avoiding different regulatory systems for similar assets and entities; discussing trading considerations for tokenized stocks and structures to facilitate such trades; and exploring exchange-traded products for cryptocurrency exchanges, including common listing standards for crypto spot ETFs and regulatory handling of other potential crypto-based trading products.
