According to Foresight News, LayerZero has implemented the FAFO (Fast Ahead-of-Formation Optimization) upgrade, achieving over 1 million TPS on a single node on EVM.
LayerZero states that FAFO is a scheduler that enables high throughput on the chain by reordering transactions before block formation. A single node can process over 1 million EVM-compatible transactions per second, which is 91% cheaper than sharded execution. Currently, LayerZero has benchmarked FAFO on native ETH transfers and ERC20 transfers.
