ApeCoin Officially Passes Proposal to Dissolve ApeCoin DAO with Overwhelming 99.66% Support
According to data from Odaily Snapshot, the voting for proposal AIP-596 to dissolve the decentralized autonomous organization ApeCoin DAO and establish a new entity called ApeCo has officially ended. The results show that 99.66% of participants voted in favor of the proposal, while only 0.32% opposed and 0.01% abstained.
Proposal AIP-596 was introduced with the aim of restructuring the entire ApeCoin ecosystem, promoting necessary reforms to improve operational efficiency and ensure sustainable development in the future. One of the key highlights of this proposal is the orderly transfer of assets and responsibilities from ApeCoin DAO to ApeCo — a new legal entity established by Yuga Labs.
The leadership team of ApeCo is expected to include Cameron Kates — the current CEO of Ape Foundation, along with other members of the organization and the Banana Bill development team. The establishment of ApeCo is expected to open a new chapter for the ApeCoin community, with a clearer governance structure and a more synchronized strategic direction with Yuga Labs.
