Messari: Total crypto financing in Q2 2025 will drop 20% month-on-month to $5 billion

According to data released by Messari analysts on the X platform, the total financing in the cryptocurrency industry for the second quarter of 2025 was $5 billion, a 20% decrease from the previous quarter. The six largest financing events of the year totaled $5.4 billion, exceeding the total financing rounds for that quarter. The top 10 financing deals in the second quarter raised $2.9 billion, accounting for 57% of the total financing activities for the quarter. The number of active investors decreased by 35% quarter-on-quarter, with only 1,000 investors, the lowest level of quarterly investor participation since the fourth quarter of 2020. Coinbase Ventures was the most active investment institution in the second quarter, participating in 25 financing transactions, more than double the 12 deals in the first quarter of 2025.
