On the basis of European solidarity, the European Commission needs to demonstrate an even more resolute determination to defend EU interests. This particularly means that if no agreement is reached before August 1, preparations for credible countermeasures must be accelerated, mobilizing all available means, including the "Anti-Coercion Instrument".
On this basis, France will fully support the European Commission's position in negotiations.
