Airwallex CEO: Traditional banking requires scalable infrastructure, and has started recruiting a stablecoin engineering manager

Planet Daily News: Jack Zhang, co-founder and CEO of enterprise payment and financial platform Airwallex, posted on X platform stating that traditional commercial banking is being redefined. It is no longer about financial products, but more focused on scalable infrastructure, enterprise-level operating systems, and AI representing bank operations. Traditional finance is gradually ending, but it marks the beginning of agency finance. It is reported that Jack Zhang also disclosed on X platform that Airwallex has started recruiting a stablecoin engineering lead to advance its stablecoin infrastructure, with the position targeting Singapore, Hong Kong, and other locations. The role requires experience in blockchain system integration and familiarity with digital asset custody and security architecture.
