According to ChainCatcher, Tesla's official website shows that Grok is now available in Tesla's in-vehicle system. Starting from July 12, new US-version vehicles will come with this feature by default, allowing users to wake up Grok through the in-vehicle app or by long-pressing the steering wheel voice button, enabling natural language conversations with multiple personality style options.
Currently, Grok is only supported on Model S/3/X/Y and Cybertruck equipped with AMD infotainment processors running software version 2025.26 and above. The feature is being launched in Beta version and does not yet support direct control of navigation or air conditioning functions. All user conversations will be anonymized by xAI to protect privacy. At present, vehicle owners can enable Grok in their vehicles without a Grok account or subscription.
In the future, Grok may be made available on more Tesla models through over-the-air software updates. The availability of Grok may be changed or terminated at any time.
